Registration and Tuition Fees (as of 7/01/09)

REGISTRATION FEE:
$55 per family . The registration fee is for one school year (two 17-week sessions). Each family will receive two free tickets for the year end performance.

VISUAL ARTS MATERIALS FEE: $25
There is a one-time materials fee for visual arts classes paid at the time of registration.

A tuition deposit is required at the time of registration. This amount varies depending on circumstances.
Payment Policy

  • Pay in full by cash/check (There will be a $25.00 charge on all returned checks)
  • Pay by Debit Card, Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard only)
  • Extra Fees

    • Music students are expected to purchase books, instruments (if applicable) and other supplies related to lessons. (See instructor)

    Sliding Scale Rates

    • Limited financial assistance is available to students who demonstrate need as
      determined by the Newark School of the Arts guidelines. See Registrar for required proof. Forms are available from the Registrar/Manager of Student Activities or at the Front Office.
    • Good attendance, satisfactory progress, registering for mandated courses and attending a number of recitals are necessary to maintain scholarship.
      Attendance will be taken at all recitals.

    Scholarship Policy

    • Scholarships are available to students who excel on the basis of talent as demonstrated by written teacher recommendation and audition. Students must attend NSA for at least one year to be eligible for scholarships.
    • Good attendance, satisfactory progress, registering for mandated courses and attending a number of recitals are necessary to maintain financial aid.
      Attendance will be taken at all recitals.

    Drop/Add Policy

    • Use Drop/Add forms to drop, add, withdraw, change name, address and telephone.
    • Drop/Add forms are available at Front Office.
    • Students registering after the official drop dates are liable for the full semester’s tuition.
    • Students are liable for payment for all lessons within the semester
    • No refunds or credits will be given after November 8th for Fall registrants, and April 11th for Spring registrants. No refund or credit will be given after official drop date. No refund or credit will be given for mandated, subsidized classes, i.e., theory, chorus, etc.
